2008 in a nutshell

The Bridges family-2008

As the end of the year approaches I thought I would reflect on the happenings of 2008 in the Bridges house. We started the year with me 7 months pregnant with Callan and having contractions at work. I ended up resigning from my job of 6 1/2 years shortly after and preparing for Callan's arrival. We flew through the next 2 months with not much to write about until March. Callan arrived on March 24th, the day after Easter. She is nicknamed "Bunny" because of when she arrived. She has been an unbelievable little blessing. She is an awesome child just extremely picky about certain things. She despises vegetables, bottles, standing on her feet and growing. Dr. Hamilton said that he isn't surprised by anything that Callan does anymore. She is definitely her own independent little girl. We are trying to remedy all of the above but it is a slow go with a stubborn little darling. Amy's family came up during the summer and the twins got to visit with C for the first time. Me and Callan ended up flying to Florida to visit with Amy and fam before Carley arrived and then off to the beach shortly after with daddy and Mimi. Carley arrived on September 22nd in Tampa and Will, Callan and I flew down in October to visit with her for the first time. She is an absolute doll. We are so glad that C is ending up with cousins so close in age. Carley is 6 months younger and Faith (my brother's little girl) is 9 months older. 2008 brought lots of travel for Will. His job is going great and he is flying around visiting customers more than ever now. Me and C are not fond of staying home by ourselves so we usually find something to do. Callan was only 1 of about 10 babies born this year alone is our class at church. It was a definite baby boom year for the SonSeekers. We are so glad there will be lots of little ones her age to run around with, granted they are all boys for the most part! We finished up the year by visiting with all of our families for Christmas. It is so nice to spend the holidays with family. We are so thankful and grateful for all of our blessings and we pray that the Lord will bless us with more children and friends in the future! Happy New Year!
