SonSeeker Saturdays

First of all can I say how blessed I am to be a part of such an amazing church and Sunday school class. The SonSeekers (our class) had 2 events this past Saturday so we spent a lot of time together. First, on Saturday morning we got together at the soup kitchen downtown at 1st Presbyterian Church. Our class had volunteered to take a day to prepare and serve the food. We decided to serve taco soup, corn chips and chocolate oat bars. We had prepared the food beforehand so we really just had to set up Saturday morning. This church opens their soup kitchen every Friday and Saturday from noon-1:00. What an awesome ministry. They told us to estimate 60 people probably at the most. Well, we ended up having 76 people come through and could you believe that we had exactly 76 bowls of soup. EXACTLY!! Not one more or one less. Can you say Godwink?!! That was amazing in itself. It was a great opportunity and an eye opening experience. Hopefully we can help another time.

Then Saturday night we had our monthly Supper Club at Zach and Sara Miles' house. It was a Halloween party if you can't tell from the picture below. Me and Will dressed up as Popeye and Olive Oyl. I thought we did pretty good to have put the outfits together in less 1 day. Yes that is black hair dye in my hair. It wasn't much fun to have to wash out!

Well could you ever have imagined that out of only 14 people Lee & Magen had dressed up as the same thing. Here is a picture of me and Magen pretending to battle it out. Needless to say we didn't win best costume or most original!
What's even funnier is Sunday night at church me and Magen dressed exactly alike too. Not on purpose!!
Here is the whole group! We had such a great time. Zach & Sara and Eric & Melissa were responsible for the funfest! Thanks for being such great hostesses! Thank you God for such godly, fun people!
